3rd annual BBQ & Blues coming to Cocoa Village's Riverfront Park June 7th-8th, 2013. Sanctioned by the Florida BBQ Association, we will be having a professional competition, live blues music, and much more!
National touring artist Damon Fowler will join some of Florida’s finest blues musicians including local one man band Matt Rossman, The Betty Fox Band, The Shaun Rounds Band and Josh Miller’s Blues Revue, on stage Saturday June 8th from late morning until dusk as they present the best in American Blues at the Third Annual BBQ & Blues in Historic Cocoa Village’s Riverfront Park.
Join us for the Third Annual, FBA Sanctioned, BBQ & Blues, Pro BBQ Competition June 7th & 8th 2013! This event is a designated State Championship by the governor of Florida and is an American Royal Invitational and Jack Daniel's World Championship qualifier.
Friday evening will see ongoing entertainment in the park brought to you by the Magic Dove Magic Shop, a VIP Party at the Parrish Grove Inn, and a Pub Crawl through Historic Cocoa brought to you by madhatterproductions.com. On Saturday, Riverfront Park will see the ‘meat’ of the BBQ contest and ring to music from some of the best Blues Artists in Florida! Also not to be missed Saturday are the People’s Choice judging at 11am, the Kids Fun Zone, various street entertainments, a vendor village showcasing the work of talented local artists and crafters, and of course the 5:00PM awards ceremony to honor the very tastiest in Florida BBQ! And don’t forget the food! A dozen BBQ vendors will be on hand to delight you with their culinary wares.
Again this year the festival welcomes Brighthouse Networks and Everything Brevard as key sponsors.
Admission to this great event is free and partial proceeds go toward supporting music in schools through Brevard Schools Foundation.
